Our face is arguably the first thing someone will look at when they meet us. The aim of today’s talk is to examine the unique features of facial skin and the common conditions which cause facial erythema. I will cover the clinical features and management of inflammatory skin diseases – acne rosacea, perioral dermatitis, seborrhoeic and atopic dermatitis. I will also discuss contact dermatitis, photosensitivity disorders and how the facial skin can be affected in systemic disease.
