Practice Nurse - St Georges Surgery

St Georges Surgery is a long-established practice serving a population of 9500 patients.

We currently have a vacancy for a full time Practice Nurse due to a long-standing Practice Nurse retiring.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a motivated and committed team.  We pride ourselves in delivering high-quality care whilst maintaining the traditional values of patient-centered family medicine.  Our medical team currently consists of 7 Doctors, 5 of whom are partners, together with our team of 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA. The clinical team is supported by a full team of administrative and management staff.

St Georges Surgery has a good reputation both with patients and within the medical community locally. It is a happy, friendly practice and many of the staff have worked at the practice for a long time.  The practice was rated ‘Good’ in all areas by CQC at our last inspection in July 2019 and we are high QOF achievers.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Practice Nurse who was ready to embrace change and innovation within this well-established and dedicated team. They will be highly motivated, committed to providing excellent patient care and have experience of Practice Nursing in a Primary Care setting. 

Roles will include chronic disease management, spirometry and interpretation, cervical screening, childhood immunisations and travel vaccinations.

This position is 37.5 hours per week and the candidate must be able to work extended hours on Monday or Tuesday evening till 8.30pm.  The salary will be negotiable with the successful candidate. 

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and two references.
