Salaried GP/GP Partner - Upper Eden Medical Practice

Due to retirement, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking and dedicated GP to join our friendly, supportive team at the Upper Eden Medical Practice in Kirkby Stephen. We’re looking for 6-8 sessions, however fewer sessions would be considered for the right candidate. Surrounded by spectacular scenery, the ancient market town of Kirkby Stephen at the head of the picturesque Eden Valley, is an inviting prospect for anyone who loves the outdoor life and appreciates the benefits of living in one of the most scenic locations in England. We have excellent schools and local amenities, with the added benefit of being only 10 minutes from the M6 and West Coast mainline railway, so you can reach the likes of Manchester and Newcastle with ease! At the Upper Eden Medical Practice we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional quality of care. We are a rural dispensing practice with a list size of 6700 patients, so you will have the opportunity to become a valued member of the community and enjoy the rewards and recognition that comes from really knowing your patients. We also recognise the importance of an effective work/life balance. Consequently we provide 15 minute appointments, scheduled daily mid-morning coffee breaks, dedicated admin time and we actively encourage special interests. We’re also a training practice, and adopt an open and supportive ethos to provide encouragement and effective learning for all our trainees. We offer a competitive salary plus payment of medical indemnity fees. You could also take advantage of the new to partnership scheme incentive which gives eligible participants a sum of up to £20,000 plus a contribution towards on-costs of up to £4,000 available to support establishment as a partner, as well as up to £3,000 in a training fund to develop non-clinical partnership skills!
