We are looking to find a perfect fit for our current team- a salaried GP who wants to work in a high achieving practice with a superb local reputation. We expect the candidate to be forward thinking, a great team player, have excellent communication skills, openness to working collaboratively with other colleagues in the Primary Care Network whilst retaining the essence of the practice. A healthy work/life balance is encouraged resulting in a content and productive team and positive atmosphere. The current partners pride themselves on the staff retention and GPs are fully supported in developing their interest areas. We welcome practice visits to meet our team.

Main duties of the job 

WE are looking for: 

  • 6- 8 sessions over 3 or 4 days 
  • Share of visits 
  • Support to trainees and colleagues 
  • Share of on-call responsibility 
  • Share of extended hour's provision 
  • Weekly practice meeting, where we welcome engagement and contribution, meetings include Education/Business/GSF/Safeguarding and whole Clinical team meetings 
  • Annual mandatory training updates 

Overview of your organisation 

We are a friendly, supportive team based in Whalley situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley. 5 partners, 4 salaried GPs, ANP, 5 nurses, 2 HCAs, Phlebotomist and a large reception and admin team, we are also a long standing training practice for GP training. WE also have a PCN team that work with our patients, including a pharmacist, pharmacy techs; mental health and a physio. We have an attached frail and elderly team of nursing professionals who work with our nursing and housebound patients . We also have an onsite dispensary at both sites- to give all of our patients a good quality experience at the surgery. The team work well together, making the surgery a harmonious place to work. We have a highly productive working relationship with the practices within our PCN. A high QOF achiever we pride ourselves on constantly striving to improve the patient experience.
