Lathom House Surgery is a semi-rural practice located in the village of Burscough, West Lancashire, approximately 16 miles north east of Liverpool and 9 miles east of Southport. We have been established for 27 years.

We are offering a rare and unique opportunity to join our organisation in a pivotal role within our team.

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and pro-active leader with strong interpersonal skills to join our team providing patient centred care in a modern, forward thinking practice.

We have excellent core values in our approach to patient centred care, a well established chronic disease management programme and a very experienced administrative team with support from our managing Partners. As a Practice Manager you have the support and resources from our other two sister practices at hand.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate

•Strong Leadership skills with at least 3 years experience in a Practice Manager capacity within a NHS GP Practice.

•Experience in multiple GP roles such as Reception, Admin, Coding and Secretarial. Essential understanding of human resources, finance, and overseeing process changes & efficiency.

•Managing a small number of staff and been actively involved in targets (KPI, QOF, Enhanced services, Population Health Management, Additional Services, Audits), CQC and other requirements by the organisation.

•Knowledge of CCG Policies and procedures as well as experience of a CQC visit.

•Ability to deal with difficult patient, staff and clinician concerns in an honest, professional and trustworthy manner.

•Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

•An enthusiastic and flexible approach to team working

•Working knowledge of EMIS clinical system

•Fully involved with regular internal quality improvement and team building exercises

•Encouraged to develop your role in a budding training practice.
