We have two sessions available for you to book at this venue. 10.30am and 12.30pm. If you wish to attend the earlier session at 10:30 please go back and book the correct time/session for that course. Due to training capacity restrictions, you will only be able to enter the session time you have booked.
At the end of the session you are welcome to stay and chat, connect and network with other local GPs.
Event Overview:
• What to do in an emergency, Primary Survey, Practical CPR with adult, child and infant.
• Safe use of an AED and considerations, rescue/starter pack , choking (adult, child, infant)
• Recovery position.
Assessment:
Learners are required to practically demonstrate all the above that’s included in the course contents and will be informally assessed during the BLS session. On completion a certificate will be emailed stating attendance and what has been practically demonstrated on the BLS session, additionally a First Aid book with BLS will be provided to all at the session. All equipment will be provided and sufficient for numbers attending. The session is suitable for all members of the primary care team wishing to update their knowledge and skills in basic life support.
Cost:
RCGP members: Free for RCGP members. A £10 refundable fee will be charged when booking which will be refunded once you have attended the training. If you do not attend on the day a refund will NOT be given. Cancellation must be received in writing (via email) 10 days in advance of the course to receive a refund.
Non members: £10, non refundable. Cancellation must be received in writing (via email) 10 days in advance of the course to receive a refund.
