Salaried GP Vacancy – Riverside Medical Centre

Sessions – 4/Negotiable on days, preferably 4 sessions over 2 days

We are a medium sized practice based at a single site responsible for providing GP services to the population of Bamber Bridge and Walton-Le-Dale (c11,000). We are a clinical team of 3 GP partners, 4 salaried GPs along with 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 2 Nurse Practitioners and 4 Nurses. The partners value working together in a friendly atmosphere of trust, mutual support and flexibility.

We are established in the local Bridgedale Primary Care Network along with two other local practices and from time to time hold joint Internal Protected Education Sessions (PETS) with these. We are committed to education and attend CCG External PETS too. As part of Bridgedale PCN we employ an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who holds regular clinics and carries out home visits to the residential and nursing homes in our area.

The salaried GP role follows the BMA model contract. The commitment would be 4 sessions per week including a share of the on-call rota. Surgeries involve seeing 15 patients in 10 minute appointments and are a mix of pre-booked and same day appointments. Home visits are undertaken as appropriate to our patients.

Annual leave entitlement is 28 days pro rata and study leave is additional and is 5 days pro rata.

The salary is competitive (4 sessions per week rate) plus payment of medical indemnity fees pro rata.
