Meet the Team

Stevie Simpkin

Joined the LMC HR team in September 2016 after qualifying with a BA (Hons) International Business and Management as well as qualifying with a level 5 CIPD Diploma. Stevie is based on the LMC office and is the first point of contact for all HR related queries.

Liz Jones

Liz is Human Resources and Organisational Development specialist, with extensive experience at a senior level in large and small health organisations, including in general medical practices.

She is a chartered member of the Institute of Personnel and Development, with a Master’s Degree in HR Management.

Liz has recent experience in leading large scale organisation change and restructuring, including transfers in and out of the public, private and third sectors, redundancies and major recruitment programmes.

Liz has delivered HR and OD services in order to maximise performance and operational imperatives. Her interests lie in providing tailored solutions using –

  • Executive coaching
  • Organisation design and review for performance
  • Cultivation of effective people management skills
  • Employee relations case resolution (investigations, disciplinary, grievance, and sickness absence)
  • Workplace mediation
  • HR legislation compliance

Peter Labbett

Is an Experienced HR Practitioner with considerable high level experience in the field primarily in an NHS setting.

Peter qualified as a member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and has a particular interest in employee relations and employment law. With colleges at the LMC he has been active in developing and presenting bespoke training programmes in areas including discipline, grievance, sickness management and performance management.

Leila Grieves

Leila has over 20 years’ experience of working within the HR field, particularly with NHS organisations. She is chartered member of the Institute of Personnel and Development with a post-graduate diploma in Leadership through Effective Human Resource Management from Manchester Business School.

She has considerable experience in delivering HR solutions to large and small organisations, from advising on day to day operational HR issues such as managing absence, discipline and grievances to large scale reorganisations, mergers and redundancy programmes.

Leila spends several years at the department of health working with national trade unions to develop the Agenda for Change Job Evaluation scheme and remains a National Job Evaluation trainer and advisor on behalf of NHS Employers.

Leila is a qualified civil mediator, Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessor, (which is a form or personality testing), and a trained executive and leadership coach. She has developed and delivered many HR training courses and particularly enjoys training.
