The LMC represents all GPs across Lancashire & Cumbria supporting you with any issues ranging from contractual status and with any other matters relating to work, including remuneration, terms and conditions of service, pensions, locum agreements, complaints and disputes, partnership, employment, practice management/ relationships issues and more.
We welcome GP trainee representatives to join and/ or observe the LMC to learn about the healthcare landscape and contribute to discussions regarding General Practice. Read the BMA guide - GP Trainees and LMCs working together effectively here. Likewise, newly qualified GPs across Lancashire & Cumbria are welcome and very much encouraged to become members of the LMC. See if your LMC area has a vacancy here, or get in touch for more information.
We host and support the Lancashire & Cumbria Sessional GP group which meet bi-monthly in Preston which, as a newly qualified GP or GP trainee, you would be very welcome to attend the training sessions. Please get in touch with Rebecca if you wish to join these meetings.
Please let us know if you think we should add something else to our website that would be beneficial to you.
