Salaried GP and Primary Care dermatology

HEE Post CCT fellow Start date March 2022

30 clinical hours per week plus 7.5 hours personal development

This is a  one year post ,working part time in general practice with 2 protected sessions per week of CPD and 1 session per week in Dermatology with CMS

We are a friendly, approachable, innovative, training Practice in Aspatria (7000 patients) looking for an enthusiastic, motivated GP to join our team. The post is shared with Cumbria Medical Services and award winning Gp lead company providing dermatology and minor surgery services to North Cumbria.

Our team includes 4 Practice Nurses,1 advanced nurse practitioner , 2HCA, a Pharmacist, 5 GP Partners 1 salaried GP and 1 GP Retainer.We have social prescribers and link workers providing adolescent mental health support. We have fantastic care navigators and administrative support and a dynamic management team and plenty of Yorkshire tea.

We use Emis web, are high QOF achievers and were rated good by CQC in 2019

The Practice offers a Sexual Health Clinic, Minor Surgery and Joint injections, which we offer in dedicated clinics. Special interests and personal development are welcomed and encouraged.

We also have  visits from Podiatry, Dietician, Health Visitors, Mental Health Team, Diabetic eye screening  and direct access to Physiotherapy.

The Practice covers the town and local area. It is 30 minutes from Carlisle, 15 minutes from Wigton and Cockermouth, all of which have excellent schools. There are good transport links and fabulous views over the Lake District, which offers excellent cycling, walking, running, fishing and other less healthy options, such as great pubs and restaurants!
