The team at Distington Surgery are inviting an enthusiastic GP to join our exceptional team in our outstanding CQC Practice to join us in providing excellent family medical services to our 6360 patients, empowering them to manage their health conditions. Distington is a single site dispensing practice with a delivery service working from our owned building with on site parking, within a supportive community which we are very much a part of. Our dedicated reception, admin and management team are key to maintaining general practice in these challenging times. 

Distington Surgery is also a training practice - training is very important to us. We have very close links with the medical schools at Newcastle, UCLAN, Pears and the North Cumbria GP Training Scheme. We take pride in training the primary care clinicians of tomorrow. Part of the Copeland PCN (Distington, Mansion House & Westcroft Surgery) Our working day offers a structured daily workload Telephone triage with 20 min face to face contacts if necessary Highly supportive team and cohesive clinics Daily team huddle built into the working day and weekly team meetings PCN Paramedic visiting service for majority of home visits Frailty team ARSS roles Supportive of portfolio careers Potential for Partnership 5 sessions available - although this is open to discussion Salary starting £10,500 per session, dependant on experience.
