Salaried GP - Central Park Surgery

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse, to play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical services to our patients. 

The successful candidate will work closely with GPs, healthcare assistances, and the wider practice team to provide evidence-based nursing care and support the management of both acute and long term health conditions. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Deliver a range of nursing services including - cervical screening, childhood and adult immunisations, travel vaccinations, wound care and dressings, NHS health checks. 
• Support the management of patients with long term conditions including:- Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Hypertension and Cardiovascular disease. 
• Provide health promotion and lifestyle advice 
• Assist with infection prevention and control procedures 
• Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS Web 
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities and professional development. 

To be successful in this you role you will have: 

Essential 

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration 
• Experience of working within GP practice 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team 
• Strong organisation and time management skills 
• Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care 
• Qualification in cervical cytology 
• Experience managing long-term conditions 
• Immunisation and vaccination training

Desirable 

• Knowledge of EMIS Web
